Dorset: Lulworth Range walks & Tyneham Village, public access information

The Lulworth Ranges are part of the AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicles) Gunnery School, an important training establishment of the British Army.

The Lulworth Range walks and Tyneham Village are open to the public every weekend and during peak summer months however may be closed at certain times. Please check latest opening times by clicking HERE. The exhibitions in Tyneham school and Tyneham church are open on selected days and timings throughout the year.

On conclusion of weekday firing, the gates to the range walks are opened as near as possible to 4.30pm on the Friday afternoon. However, this is dependent on completion of range clearance and weather. The range walks will remain open until 8am on the Monday morning.

Range walks include the coast from west of Kimmeridge Bay to east of Lulworth Cove, as well as the village of Tyneham, Worbarrow Bay and a number of other walking routes. For operational and safety reasons, access to the ranges is restricted to specific times.

Shropshire Domestic Abuse Service

The UEFA EURO 2024 championship kicked off last weekend. Whilst football itself is not the cause of domestic abuse, research shows that rates of domestic abuse increase during football championships.

Did you know Shropshire Domestic Abuse Service run drop-in sessions right across the county to help make their service accessible to all. They are open to anyone over 16 who needs information, support or advice about domestic abuse, and would like to talk to someone face-to-face. No appointment is necessary.

If you are attending a session at a busy venue, such as a food bank, just ask for Sadie.
