Mentors (Supporting Secondary School Pupils)

We are currently recruiting…

Mentors – to work in secondary schools supporting pupils who need your experience, guidance & advice
Open to – former HM Armed Forces and the spouses/partners of serving and non-serving personnel
Term - time only – a 1-year contract
Training – full training provided & then you'll be placed at a school near you
Team - Talent and Performance Team - People Services at Lancashire County Council

The Reserves Continuous Attitude Survey (ResCAS) closes on Tuesday April 2nd 2024.

Please take time out to provide feedback on your experience as a Reserve.

Hampshire County Council is proud to be part of Forces Connect South East

Forces Connect South East is a cross border partnership comprising Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex County Councils, Brighton and Hove, Medway Councils and Sussex NHS.

It is a two-year Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Covenant Funded Programme aimed at making it easier for servicemen and women and their families, as well as reservists and veterans, to access public sector services including healthcare, housing, schools, financial advice and support to find jobs.

There’s still time to contribute to the The Reserves Continuous Attitude Survey (ResCAS) 2024. Your experience matters, we want to hear from you.

How to take part?

ResCAS 2024 is open for all services until April 2nd 2024. For more details on whether you can take part and how, please find your service below.

Army Reserves

ResCAS is open to selected volunteer Reservists who should have already received or will be receiving a paper copy of the survey and an email with a link to the online version. You can also access the survey online at MOD Surveys then select ‘Army RESCAS 2024’.

Your token is your Service number and is case sensitive. Personnel should use the Google Chrome web browser to complete the survey.

Launch of Tri-Service Reserves Continuous Attitude Survey - ResCAS 2024: take part now!

 

The 2024 Reserves Continuous Attitudes Survey (ResCAS24) is now open for completion until Tuesday April 2nd 2024.

Reservists continue to make an impressive contribution to Defence outputs. Last year, ResCAS results revealed that:

  • 75% of Volunteer Reserves were satisfied with life in the Reserves in general
  • 92% felt proud to be in the Reserves
  • 83% would recommend joining the Reserves to others

What is RESCAS? 
ResCAS is MOD’s annual survey asking for Reservists’ views of life in the Reserves. The survey is used by the Service Chiefs and the Chief of Defence People to gain an insight into Volunteer Reservists’ opinions of service and influence areas of change and focus.

Building Heroes - 2024 courses available for booking

 


Building Heroes are offering fully training in multi trades for Veterans, Service Leavers, Family members, Reservists and select places for those over 19 with a desire to access the industry.

Learners will gain a C&G Level 1 in multi trades, C&G Level 1 Health & Safety and CSCS card.

We have academies in both Watford and Wembley . As well as the qualifications being gained learners will be able to gain onsite work experience, training alongside ex military, direct employment into associated supply chains to the employer, and access to fully funded level 2 courses upon completion through the training provider.

Grantham: Gymnasium facilities for Grantham Station

Gymnasium opening times:

Monday to Thursday
0700-1730hrs
Friday 0700- 1300hrs

Outside these timings the gym still can be used but you will need to sign the key out from the guardroom and leave your ID with them.



To use the gym:

You will need a gym induction; this can be done by any PTI at the gym. Induction takes around 10 mins and the PTI will show you around the gym and make sure you are happy with the equipment etc, within the induction you will need to fill out a form - this form is a medical questionnaire and it is also confirmation you are happy with the induction.

You require:

x2 passport photos

Proof of insurance - you are to hold a suitable level of personal accident insurance/ third party liability.

Pre/post natal room contains:
Watt bike/cross trainer, kettle bells, small Light weights and matts.

Additional to the pre/post-natal room you can use the other rooms in the gym as normal.
