Applications are invited for the full-time post of Chief Executive, Highland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (HRFCA) based in Dundee. 

This Crown Service (Civil Service Grade 6/Grade B1 equivalent) post becomes vacant at a date between July 2025 and December 2025, to be agreed with the successful applicant.

The HRFCA CE is responsible and accountable to the Association’s Chair and Executive Board for the leadership and efficient management of all staff, business outputs (estates, engagement, cadets and youth), finances and affairs of the Association.  The CE works alongside and in conjunction with the other 12 RFCA CEs and the Council of Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Associations in London.

Leuchars: The Welfare Team are showing the film Captain America: Brave New World, Sunday 6th April



The welfare team will be showing the recently released film, Captain America: Brave New World in the Leuchars Community Centre on Sunday, 6th April at 1730hrs.

The cost to watch this fabulous film is £1 for children and £2 per adult. 

To secure a place you can pop in and see a member of the welfare team or turn up on the day. 

Please note this film has a 12A certification.

Edinburgh & Dundee: Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) currently have spaces for new residents in Dundee and Edinburgh

We currently have spaces for new residents in Dundee and Edinburgh.

Our purpose as a charity is to provide a safety net for ex-Services men and women from all over the UK who are in need or experiencing homelessness, by providing a roof over their head and support for as long as they need it. If you are a Veteran who is experiencing homelessness, or is in need - or know someone who is - please get in touch and we will do all we can to try and provide accommodation and support at Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR).

Dalkieth: ABF scotland and Lothians Veterans Centre Charity Quiz and Curry night Thurs 17th April


Join the Army Benevolent Fund and Lothian Veterans Centre at the Bombay Lounge, Dalkeith for a curry and charity quiz night. On Thursday 17th April 2025 come along and enjoy a delicious curry, some quizzing and lots of fun with family and friends.

The Bombay Lounge, Scotland’s multi award winning Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant in Dalkeith has kindly offered to host us for the evening. The quiz will be set up in teams of 4. 

You can register as a pair or an individual at the link below. Teams will be mixed and chosen pre-event, you will be kept in the pairs you register in and teamed up with another pair of our choice. This is a great chance to get to know new people.

After the quiz you will have the opportunity to take part in our prize draw and auction. This promises to be an evening of fun with friends and family to raise funds and awareness for the Army Benevolent Fund and Lothian Veterans Centre.
