Leuchars: Ex Kukri Dawn, Increase in day and occasional early evening flying 1st – 18th September 2026,

Military training will take place across Scotland as part of Exercise Kukri Dawn. 

Between the 1st and 18th of September 2026, Military training will take place across Scotland as part of Exercise Kukri Dawn. Activity will be particularly noticeable in areas around Leuchars Station, inc. periods of low-level helicopter flying during the day and occasional early evening flying. 

The ability to operate effectively at low level is essential for Military helicopters in their role supporting troops on the ground. Realistic low-level training in the UK is therefore a vital part of preparing aircrew for operational duties.

Leuchars: AI Skills Drop-in session with BFBS, Tuesday 1st September in the Co-working hub.

Join the MCN and BFBS at the Military Coworking Network hub in Leuchars for a free drop-in AI skills session, open to all military partners and spouses.

Whether you want to know how AI can help you find a job, run a business, plan a move, or just make everyday life a little easier, come and have a chat with us. There's no agenda, no pressure, and no tech experience needed. Just drop in whenever works for you between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday 1st September and we'll work through whatever's most useful for you.

Refreshments will be provided.

Free to attend. Open to all military partners and spouses, you don't need to be an MCN member to come along.

Stirling: Combat Stress Veterans Recovery Network at Stirling Castle, Sat 5th September

After a fantastic first Veterans Recovery Network event at Stirling Castle, we’re bringing veterans together there again, on Saturday 5 September 2026 between 12pm and 2pm.

Taking place in one of Scotland’s most historic settings, the session will give veterans an opportunity to meet others, spend time together and connect in a relaxed, supportive environment.

The event is open to all veterans, including those who have never accessed Combat Stress. There is no expectation to share personal experiences or take part in any particular way. You are welcome to join in at a level that feels comfortable for you.

Led by veterans with lived experience of recovery, these sessions are designed to show that change is possible and that recovery is within reach.

This event is part of our Veterans Recovery Network, building local, accessible support across the UK. Thank you to the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum for providing the location.
