The Armed Forces Talent Programme is an NHSScotland-wide recruitment initiative for the armed forces community. 

It supports service leavers, veterans, spouses, partners, dependants, reservists, cadets, and cadet forces adult volunteers to enter our workforce.

Scotland: Service Children’s Progression (SCIP) Alliance hosting events around Scotland

Over the next few months, the Service Children’s Progression (SCIP) Alliance are hosting over 30 events across the UK to conduct discussion groups on the topic of evidence mobilisation.

27th May    Edinburgh, venue information on booking

2nd Jun      Helensburgh, Drumfork Community Centre

These will be an opportunity for anyone working with Armed Forces families in any professional roles (education, health, local authorities, activity centres, youth groups) to discuss what they think works for supporting Service children, how we know this, and how can evidence be mobilised better.

Help for Heroes Cafes are informal, relaxed events where you can meet and enjoy time with other veterans and families. It could be anything from a coffee morning or veteran hub to a veteran-led group. These welcoming events run across the UK and are open to all members of the Armed Forces community.

It's an easy way to dip your toes back into the water and feel like part of a community again. There's no need to book, just turn up and say hello. First brew is on us.
