Scotland: ScotRail are inviting women to a special online careers event Thurs 19th February

🚄🚆 ScotRail is inviting women to a special online careers event to learn more about what it’s like to be a train driver on Scotland’s Railway.

Two sessions will take place on Thursday, 19 February via Microsoft Teams, these are aimed at people who live in, or within approximately 45 minutes of, the following areas, where we are especially keen to increase local interest.

- Airdrie
- Bathgate
- Dundee
- Edinburgh
- Inverness
- Tweedbank
- Yoker

Attendees to the online event will be given the chance to hear directly from female train drivers about their experiences and learn about the recruitment process and training programme. You’ll also participate in a Q&A session, where commonly asked questions will be answered.

ScotRail is committed to building a more inclusive workforce and empowering women to thrive across the rail industry. These career events are designed to encourage more women to consider a career in the driver’s cab, with the opportunity to ask questions, gain first-hand insight, and register interest in the role.
