Vale of Glamorgan: Annual subscriptions for the 2026/27 garden waste collection service are now open

Annual subscriptions for the 2026/27 garden waste collection service are now open.

From 02 March, subscribers will have their garden waste collected every two weeks and will be able to book winter collections between December and February.

Residents who sign up before 01 April 2026 will be able to subscribe to our early bird offer from £41 per year, the same price as in 2025

The Council has reviewed its fees and charges for 2026/27 and prices for garden waste subscriptions will increase from 01 April 2026 to £45 for up to 8 bags and £65 for more than 8 bags.

Sign up now for:
  • Up to 8 bags /fortnight £41 for the year
  • More than 8 bags /fortnight £59 for the year
Already a subscriber? If you already subscribe to the service, your subscription will not automatically renew. Please use your existing account to subscribe to the 2026/27 service if you wish to continue having your garden waste collected.

Don’t want to subscribe for a full year? You will have the option to subscribe to a half-year service from August.

Scotland: Forces Employment Charity, NOVA Scotland now offers support to Veterans

We’re proud to announce that our justice service NOVA Scotland now provides specialist trauma-informed support for veterans from the moment they come into contact with Police Scotland Custody Centres.

Through our partnership with the police force, veterans will be offered a referral to NOVA Scotland so we can help them access practical and emotional support to address issues such as poor physical or mental health, homelessness and financial hardship.

We stand by those who served when they need us most.

Surrey: childcare provision and funding - Surrey Additional Needs and Disabilities


Childcare providers have a legal duty to offer extra support to meet the needs of a child with a disability under the Equality Act 2010. This might include installing a ramp to allow wheelchair access to their premises, or training staff to use special equipment. 

They will also be able to apply to Surrey County Council to access additional support and funding to help pay for extra staff, training or resources that have been identified as necessary to allow your child to attend their setting. More information is available on the Surrey website below.
