West Midlands: Volunteer opportunity at European Athletics Championships - Birmingham 26

We need a fantastic team of volunteers to help make Birmingham 2026 the best European Athletics Championships ever. Volunteers will play a vital role in the success of the event and whether you’re passionate about sport, meeting new people, or want to have an unforgettable experience, there’s a place for you in our volunteer team.

If you’re a previous volunteer or someone who has never volunteered before – come and join our world class Champions.

Becoming a Champion at the European Athletics Championships isn’t just about helping out - it’s about being part of an unforgettable event where every role matters. Bring a positive attitude and strong team spirit as you will help to deliver the European Athletics Championships for the first time in UK!

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over on the 1st July 2026 and have the Right to Work in the UK. We are asking all volunteers to initially be available from the 8th – 17th August 2026.

The deadline to apply to volunteer is the 10th March 2026.

For those aged 14 – 17 we will be launching a separate Kit Carrier application process later in the year. Groups will also have opportunities to volunteer together as part of the race walks and marathon events, with details also to be released later this year.

For any questions or queries about volunteering please email b2026volunteers@unitedby2022.com
