Sunrise Social - Bouncy Castle & Ball Pit on Tuesday 17th February 

Join us this half term for a day of bouncing, jumping and big energy at the Drill Hall! We’ll have a bouncy castle and an inflatable ball pit ready for little ones to enjoy, plus colouring, games and space to play.

There’s a special early morning session just for our littlest bouncers (under 2s), so they can enjoy the fun safely at their own pace.

We’re offering this event on a pay what you can basis, with a suggested donation of £2 per child. Free toast, squash and fruit will be available throughout the session.

Please book one ticket per child in advance so we can manage numbers and keep everyone safe and comfortable. Please pay attention to ticket times and costs, these tickets are offered on a Pay What You Can basis.

Our popular Half‑Term Crafts afternoon is back, offering children a relaxed and creative space to make, explore and enjoy hands‑on activities. Perfect for families looking for something fun and affordable during the school break, this drop‑in style session provides a variety of craft materials and simple guided makes suitable for a range of ages.

All materials are provided, and our café will be open throughout the afternoon for drinks, snacks and sweet treats. Children must be accompanied by an adult, making this a lovely opportunity to get creative together.

Powys: Spring 2026 Garden Waste Collection Subscriptions Open in Powys


Get ready for spring: 2026 garden waste recycling collections subscriptions open

Early subscribers who sign-up for the 2026 garden waste collections before the end of March will be able to do so for the same price as last year (£60 for a 240-litre wheeled bin, or £55 for a 140-litre wheeled bin or compostable sacks). From April, following approval of the council's budget, it is anticipated that the costs will rise with the rate of inflation to £62 and £57 respectively.

Previous subscribers have already been contacted and given the opportunity to re-subscribe. Anyone who still needs to sign up - or who is joining the service for the first time - can subscribe at any time by visiting https://en.powys.gov.uk/gardenwaste or by calling 01597 827465.
