Leuchars: Leuchars Station Thrift Shop

As part of the UK Army’s Integrated Review (IR) Defence Estate Optimisation Plan (DEOP), some Defence assets/buildings that are located ‘outside the wire’ and deemed no longer fit for purpose will be demolished/repurposed to extend existing/build new welfare/community support infrastructure in order to cope with the increase in Military population at Leuchars Stn expected between 2027 and 2030. 

The Thrift Shop, currently located on Tutor Road, may be one of the buildings that fall within this category. This has yet be confirmed, along with a date however Leuchars Station will continue to work closely with the Thrift Shop Management regarding future developments. If the building is part of DEOP, ample lead in time and support regarding its closure will be given to the Management.
