Wiltshire Council's Family and Community Learning Team are delighted to be back at the Chippenham Hub with a lovely pair of courses. Discovering English runs on Thursday 17 October, followed by Building English Skills, a five session course to support adults with reading, writing and self expression, starting on Thursday 14 November.
The 'Discovering English' course should give a boost of confidence. It looks at word construction, phonemes and spelling. It helps unravel some of the rules and patterns buried in English words to help learners feel more confident with reading and writing. It also looks at how punctuation can help understanding. This will be a really helpful course for anyone who needs a bit more confidence understanding written text, expressing themselves in writing at work or with friends, or anyone supporting young children at school.
