Vale of Glamorgan: Play in the Vale - Survey for Adults

PLAY IN THE VALE 2024

SURVEY FOR ADULTS

Message from Vale Sports & Play:

We want to hear from parents, carers and other adults about their thoughts on play opportunities in the Vale.

Do you think that children and young people that live in the Vale of Glamorgan have the time and space they need for playing or doing things when they are not in school (including during the school holidays)?

When asked about play opportunities, many adults automatically think about the local fixed play space / park they have in their area. Whilst we appreciate this is important to children and young people, we also know there are so many other ways they like to play so please think wider than just fixed play equipment in parks.

You are welcome to use this one survey to cover the answer for all of your children. However, if your children are very different ages and therefore have very different 'likes' please complete a separate survey for each child if you have the time. This will allow us to analyse the information based on the different ages.

We are collecting this information as part of our Play Sufficiency Assessment process and will consider the information provided along with other information we are collecting as part of the process to see if there is anything we can do to improve children and young people’s opportunities to play. We cannot say that we will be able to implement all of the ideas suggested in these responses, however we will definitely consider those that we and our partners can impact upon with the resources that we have.
