MOD Accommodation Team - we want your views on the provision of furniture in Service Family Accommodation (SFA) - reminder

 


The MOD Accommodation Team are reviewing what items of furniture (for example, beds, settees, bookcases etc.) are provided to you in SFA and how furniture provision could be improved for you and Defence (click here for full information).

We want to find out:
  • Your experience of furnishing SFA
  • What furniture provision you may want and need in the future
Your participation in our research provides a key opportunity for you to shape future furniture provision for the entire Armed Forces!

Your views are very important to us, regardless of whether you have used MOD furniture provision or not.

Active Schools are looking for Netball volunteers throughout Moray.
We are on the lookout for local residents that are keen to support the development of netball in Moray. Netball is continuing to grow in Moray with our primary and secondary school netball festivals returning in 2023.

⛹Assisting or Leading netball Sessions.
Assisting at our netball Festival during this academic year.
School based or centralised sessions.
Support friendly matches

We are also working closely with Netball Scotland to get a Coach Education course to Moray in the near future.

Medway: Duke of Edinburgh's Award

 



The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award encourages young people to take on an exciting challenge and find their true potential.

It's a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, so if you’re aged between 14 and 24 and ready for the challenge, sign up for DofE Challenge or DofE Adventure.

The award offers you an individual challenge and encourages, young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.

Medway Youth Service offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme and is run by experienced, qualified and enthusiastic staff who can help you to organise activities and complete the award. The staff can work will all levels of ability and can adapt the training to meet the needs of those taking part.

Young people come from all over Medway to prepare for their award and the expeditions. So, if you are looking at doing your award and your school does not offer the opportunity, then the Youth Service will be able to help at one of our centres.

The programme is run at:
Parkwood Youth Centre, Rainham
Strood Youth Centre, Strood
Woodlands Youth Centre, Gillingham
Venues in Rochester.

Colerne: Lunchtime circuits at the gym on camp every Tues & Thurs 1200-1300


Please note that spouses must have:

  • Completed the membership form and medical questionnaire
  • Paid the £5 annual gym membership fee (this may be increasing to £25 in the future) to the Regimental Accountant
  • Completed their induction before using the gym equipment or attending the circuits class

You can collect the membership form and medical questionnaire from the HIVE office in the Community Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 0900-1700. Alternatively please email rc-pers-hive-colerne-0mailbox@mod.gov.uk and the forms can be posted through your door.
