Catterick: Little Dandelions Deployment Book Club every Fortnight
Join us for our Little Dandelions Deployment Book Club
Running fortnightly at Catterick Library, we'll be hosting sessions with stories and crafts designed to support families with a family member currently deployed.
This week's session will take place on Saturday 10am - 11am and is aimed at children aged 2 - 5 years old. Please book your space!

Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust - funding to support Military spouses and partners
The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (The Trust) is delighted to announce that they have awarded over £790,000 under the Supporting Partners programme, to improve support for Service partners and spouses and celebrate the skills and experiences they bring to the workplace.
In the latest round of grants, 13 projects have received funding across the UK and overseas. The projects aim to improve understanding of Service partners and spouses; addressing their needs and the challenges they encounter as their family transitions to civilian life.
West Midlands: Upbeat Families - Make Some Noise - Donnington/Venning Barracks
Vale of Glamorgan: 6 month Work Placements for 18 - 24 year olds - Quickstart Scheme - Vale of Glamorgan
The scheme funding will cover 100% of the national living wage for 25 hours a week, along with national insurance contributions and automatic enrolment contributions. The scheme isn’t an apprenticeship; however, people can move into an apprenticeship at any time during or after their placement.
Grantham: SHERMAN Campaign Lincolnshire
The SHERMAN campaign highlights seven factors that put people at greater risk of having a fire, or being less likely to react to a fire:
SmokingHoarding
Elderly people or those who live alone
Reduced mobility, hearing or visual impairments
Mental health issues
Alcohol misuse, drugs/medication dependence
Needing care or support
It aims to increase both public and professional awareness of the risk factors. It encourages them to contact with the fire service through a safe and well check.
