Stafford: Staffordshire smart alert - 2024 crime and community survey launched
2024 Crime and Community Survey
Today sees the launch of our annual survey looking at your experience of crime and your connection to your local community. The data from the survey goes into a report which we publish on the website, and use to help prioritise our work.
This year we're working with academic staff at the University of Northumbria who have provided some optional questions at the end of the survey related to health. This is linked to their studies on fear of crime and health outcomes.
The survey takes about ten minutes to complete, and if you can spare the time, we really hope that you will make your views known to us - it really is appreciated!

Catterick: Veterans Carp Fishing Club
We are a club of like minded individuals share the love of fishing, as well as old military banter, get together social events, a good chin wag beside the bank and catching some monster carp at the same time.
As a club we have a mix of ex and currently serving, Army, RAF, Navy and civilians.
We meet 4/5 times a month beside the bank and have at least 1 monthly social event.
Now that carp season will slowly be coming to a close we will still be doing between 1/2 fishing events a month and 2 social events on a monthly basis.
The main aim of the club: to give back to the veterans that have fought for our country, fishing has been scientifically proven to help combat Stress and anxiety.
We want to help the veterans by giving them an armed forces type club to bring them back military chit chat and banter and a place they can call home, a club of veterans they can sit and reminisce old stories with a place they can relax and de stress.
