Leuchars: Pinnacle Open Door for Leuchars Families

Pinnacle are opening our doors to families, at 9 Tutor Road, Leuchars, every Wednesday 1pm – 4pm, fro,Wednesday 13th November.

As it stands our door is always open but due to our roles we are not always available in the office which could result in a wasted journey and frustration for the family.
We have arranged diaries to ensure a Housing Officer is available between these hours.

This will guarantee that families have an opportunity to discuss any housing queries directly with a Housing Officer.

Catterick: Criminal Damage in the Garrison

Appeal following Criminal Damage in Catterick Garrison

We’re appealing for information about a Criminal Damage that occurred in Catterick Garrison.
It happened at 6:50pm on the 14th November 2024, in Browning Close, Catterick Garrison, and involved two males kicking the front door of a property which has caused damage to the frame.
These two males are believed to be youths that formed a part of a larger group of around fifteen youths causing anti-social behaviour in the area on the night. The first male was wearing a black puffer style coat with a black hoodie underneath with the hood pulled up, black jogging bottoms, and black trainers. The puffer jacket had a small reflective logo on the front of the jacket on the left side. The second male was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, a black soft shell sports jacket, with black jogging bottoms, and black trainers.
As the darker nights have drawn in we have seen an increase in anti-social behaviour in the Catterick Garrison area. As a result there has been an increase in police patrols in the area to deter this behaviour. I would also like to ask parents to consider where their children are at, who they are associating with, and what they are doing whilst out on a night.
We’re particularly appealing for information and CCTV that will lead to the identification of the two youths involved in kicking the door.
Please email Alex.Wilkinson@Northyorkshire.police.uk if you have any information that could help our investigation.
Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC 589 Alex Wilkinson, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.

Catterick: Operation Cracker - Keeping your home safe

Operation Cracker

Catterick Neighbourhood Policing team along with the Royal Military Police have been conducting joint patrols over the last few weeks to raise awareness of the importance of keeping your properties safe and secure especially during the dark nights and festive period.

Our officers have attended almost 300 properties and spoke with residents under 'Operation Cracker'.

The operation is an initiative to help protect residents over the winter months. A dark empty house is a target for burglars and with Christmas just around the corner nobody wants to suffer a financial loss.

One in three burglaries happen because homes are left insecure.

Here are a few tips to help keep your home safe and sound.

* Make sure front and rear doors are shut and locked - both when you leave the house and on your return. If you lock the door behind you, it reduces the chance of forgetting it later and leaving it unlocked for thieves.

* Use a timer to switch on lights to make the house appear occupied, even when it isn't - LED energy saving bulbs can help keep the cost down and reduce fire risk as they don't heat up.
