Northallerton: POSCH - Transition from Child to Adult Services 16th May

Sue and Joelle from Mencap will be discussing the topic of transitions from child to adult services, providing much needed information and advice on what can be a difficult time for SEN parents.

Date: Thursday 16 May 2024
Time: 10am-12pm
Place: Mencap, Goosecroft Lane, Northallerton DL6 1EG

Parking: There is a small carpark on site, but you can park for free for two hours in nearby Sainsburys or B&M car park. Otherwise, you can park on the high street which is £1.80 for two hours
Accessibility: Mencap is a fully accessible building, all rooms are on the ground floor, automatic doors and disabled toilets with hoist are available.

Our groups are run by our friendly team of volunteers who are parents or carers themselves of children with additional needs. Your child doesn’t need to have a diagnosis and we welcome anyone who is a parent or carer to a special child.
There will be light refreshments available, and a chance for you to chat with like-minded people, make new friends, and for us to support and advise each other through our collective experiences.
Please feel free to bring a friend or family member with you and contact us in advance if you are feeling anxious at the thought of coming to a new place and meeting new people, or if you have any special requirements yourself.

No need to book, just turn up! We look forward to seeing you!
