What’s On at Wellesley Woodlands
Highlights include:
Health Walks: Join us for a gentle stroll every Friday morning from 10-11am starting from different points each week. Enjoy the beauty and diversity in our woodlands with a small friendly group. Children & dogs on leads welcome.
Wellesley Woodlands Sensory Trail: The basic route with suggested sensory stopping points is live on Sensory walks in nature | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk) Further enhancements such as audio recordings and signage will follow as the project develops.
Victoria Day (8th June): Visit our stand as we all come together to celebrate Victoria Day in Aldershot. We will be offering nature-based crafts, and information on what you can do to support your local environment.
Evening Wildlife Walk (26th June, 7.00-8.30pm): Wildlife experts Anna and Edwin will lead you through the beautiful woodlands around the Wellington Statue and along the Plane Trail looking for plants and animals.
Wellesley Woodlands Dog Show (17th August): Our annual festival featuring TJ’s Dog Training, Heathland Hounds and a range of activities culminating in a fun dog show. There will also be stands offering advice and accessories for our canine friends.
Playfest (24th August): Come and find our stand in the town centre for a day of fabulous fun activities for all the family. We will be offering nature-based crafts, and information on what you can do to support your local environment.
Calling all photographers! We are hoping to arrange a photographic event for Wellesley Woodlands this year and are seeking a photographer to lead this. It would be super if this were a Local Resident. If you are a photographer, or know of someone, who would be able to help bring this together please get in touch with either Marianne or Suzie at Wellesleywoodlands@tcv.org.uk or 07483050766.
