Gloucestershire: Summer library challenge 2024

Families in Gloucestershire are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s Library Challenge, to explore everything the library has to offer for free.

This year’s theme is sport, so Gloucestershire Libraries are inviting you to get active, get reading and get free rewards.

Children can find out what their library means to them by completing a range of tasks, including reading any books they choose, connecting with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths) and getting into nature.

So far 2,827 children in the county have signed up to the challenge already since it launched on 14 July 2024.

It is free to take part in anytime during the summer with a library membership and is suitable for children aged 3+. If you are not a member it is free to sign up, just visit gloslibraries.uk.
