Reading Force are very excited to share that in May 2025 they will be launching a memoir writing competition with the first prize of a publishing deal with Pen & Sword publishers!This competition will be open to all those with a military connection – serving, veteran, partners and spouses.

Ahead of the competition and to support those who are thinking about entering, in partnership with the National Army Museum, London, Reading Force are running a special one-day workshop on writing military memoirs on Saturday 8th February 2025, 10:15am-4:00pm.
Speakers include Patrick Hennessey, author of 'The Junior Officers' Reading Club: Killing Time and Fighting Wars' (Penguin, 2011) and Dr Holly Greenland: Setting Your Writing Goals. You can see the full list of speakers and details about the day here:
