It is an honour and a privilege that I introduce myself today as Leader of Staffordshire County Council and confirm who will be working alongside me as we take up our new roles following our election success.
Councillor Martin Murray will be my Deputy Leader and I am pleased to confirm the names and responsibilities of my new Cabinet as: Ian Cooper - Leader

Hayley Coles - Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture
Janet Higgins - Cabinet Member for Education and SEND
Anthony Screen - Cabinet Member for Community Safety
Our new roles will be formally confirmed at the next meeting of Full Council on May 22, where Paul Williams (Member for Stafford Central) will also be nominated as Chairman of the Council. You can watch this meeting live online.
My commitment to you is to lift the bonnet of the council, get to know your services in detail and push to make every single penny of your council tax work hard for you.
