Northern Ireland: Volunteering Opportunities with Blind Veterans UK based in Belfast area

Blind veterans in the Belfast area need support to travel to and from a weekly gardening group and a helping hand to participate in the garden activities. The group is specifically for veterans and is highly valued by them. You do not need to be an experienced gardener to apply - for this role, Blind Veterans UK are looking for volunteers who aren’t afraid to get stuck in, and even learn new skills themselves.

Volunteers would need to be available on a Tuesday for up to 4 hours, with either a weekly or fortnightly commitment.

Here’s the link to the current volunteering opportunity in NI and I’ve attached the pdf of the volunteer role profile too if that is of use.

Volunteers must be over the age of 19, be able to use their own vehicle to transport the veterans and have held their driving licence for 2+ years.
