Christmas Lights Switch On 2nd Dec from 1830hrs
Venue: Friary Gardens and the market place
Richmond Town Council and Richmond Duck Club invite you to get together in Friary Gardens for the festive switch on.
With the ever-present Christmas Parrot overseeing proceedings, the town will be illuminated for the season, with the switch being flicked at 6.30pm.
There's free mince pies and mulled wine in the Market Hall, plus fairground rides and carol singing in the market place.
It's also time for the winners of the Christmas Window Competition to be announced - many of the shops who enter (this year's theme is 'Christmas in Yorkshire') will be staying open later especially, so you can show your support for local businesses and pick up some gifts on the night.
