Guide for Parents of LGBT+ Children

This guide has been created by MOD LGBT+ Allies to provide support and guidance to parents of LGBT+ children. We hope this guide will not only help those parents of LGBT+ Children and anyone going through a similar situation or interested in this area, but raise awareness to everyone who reads this guide. It is crucial to remember that coming out is never a one-time event and that our LGBT+ colleagues may have to face this often daunting experience many times in both their personal and work life

Forces Pensions Society

CPI increase announced as 3.1%

The CPI increase which will come into force next April has been announced as 3.1% by the ONS. This is the figure that will be used to increase all Armed Forces pensions in payment from April 2022.

Armed Forces pensions, once awarded, are adjusted in April each year by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The CPI rate used is the CPI headline rate for the September prior to the April adjustment the following year. This rate is always formally announced in October.
