Wiltshire: Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service from Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership
Many people can struggle to manage their emotions or feelings and need support to find helpful ways to cope. AWP's IAPT services can help you manage a range of common problems.
The three main types of support on offer are:
- Self-help resources, for example information leaflets, relaxing audio media, and access to the SilverCloud website to help with difficulties such as stress, low mood, anxiety and some long-term physical health conditions
- Courses and workshops which you can attend in person or online
- One-to-one appointments, assessments and therapy sessions
For details of the above, including how to self-refer, please click here
Please note that Wiltshire IAPT services are available to anyone from the age of 16 years with a registered GP in Wiltshire. If you are still Serving and would like to access support, please speak with your Unit Welfare team, Army Welfare Service or nearest HIVE.

South West: Forces Connect
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
The military community comprises Regulars and Reservists from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force, their families and veterans, including National Service.
Forces Connect South West is a local authority initiative that supports the delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant to the military community across the South West through effective partnerships.
