Scarborough: Armed Forces Day 28th June
Scarborough Armed Forces Day is taking place on Saturday 28 June and is a fantastic day out for the whole family. The event was created as a way for us to celebrate and thank our service personnel, veterans, and their families. The day has a jam-packed programme including flying displays, military parades, performances, activities, and stalls.
The event formally opens with a civic ceremony with the Mayor and VIPs. During the day there will be a presentation of veteran’s badges and performances from the Yorkshire Volunteers Band, Yorkshire Corps of Drums and Scarborough Sea Cadet band. The East Riding Pipe Band will also be making their first appearance at Scarborough Armed Forces Day.
There will be stands, vintage military vehicles, and plenty of children’s activities on offer.

Hereford: Herefordshire Armed Forces Day - 28 Jun 25
The Old Market Shopping Complex, Hereford, HR4 9HR - 10am - 4pm
Armed Forces week in Herefordshire will commence with the raising of the AF Flag in High Town, Hereford and the 5 market towns on Monday 23 June.
Armed Forces week in Herefordshire will commence with the raising of the AF Flag in High Town, Hereford and the 5 market towns on Monday 23 June.
On Saturday 28th June a celebration and appreciation of the Country’s Armed Forces will take place in the Old Market Shopping centre in the heart of the historic county capital city – Hereford.
Reserve and Cadet Forces, military charities and local interest groups will be present. There will be signings of the Armed Forces Covenant, military music displays and the laying of a wreath by the Lord lieutenant at a statue of Pte Alan Leonard Lewis the county’s only born winner of the Victoria Cross.

Ross on Wye: Proms in the Park - 20 Jul 25
Part of Ross-on-Wye Town Council’s annual series of FREE weekly outdoor summer concerts at Ross’ bandstand (Wye Street, HR9 8BX) known as Bands in the Park – Proms will run on Sunday 20th July from 2pm to 7.30pm!
Bring a blanket, chair, food and drink and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of live music.
Information about performances will follow in the New Year.
Car parking – if arriving by car, the nearest carpark is Wilton Road (free on Sundays) which has easy pedestrian access to Caroline Symonds Gardens through the tunnels.
