New legislation to help ensure fair treatment for Armed Forces

 


​The Armed Forces Bill​ will help ensure our Armed Forces personnel, their families and veterans are treated fairly, both by bringing the Armed Forces Covenant into law and improving the Service Justice System​

Help for Women Returners to the Job Market

 

Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. They harness the power of clothes and confidence to allow a woman to be her best at a crucial moment in her life, giving her the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools required to succeed at interview and transform her life”.

Appointments are made on a referral basis, from the hundreds of referral organisations they work with across the UK. This could be the local Job Centre Plus, a Work Programme provider, or another organisation that supports women back into work.

A new LGBT+ Hate Crime Helpline, launched by Galop​, is open Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm, and can be reached on 020 7704 2040 or by emailing HateCrime@galop.org.uk

Victims of anti-LGBT+ abuse can also contact Victim Support’s confidential 24/7 Supportline on 0808 168 9111, particularly if a victim requires support outside of Galop’s operating hours - www.victimsupport.org.uk

UK SAYS NO MORE is working with Boots UK, Superdrug pharmacies, Morrisons pharmacies and independent pharmacies across the UK to provide Safe Spaces in their consultation rooms for people experiencing domestic abuse.

How to access a Safe Space
Walk into any participating pharmacy in the UK.
Ask at the healthcare counter to use their Safe Space.
A pharmacist will show you to the Safe Space. Which will be the consultancy room.
Once inside, you will find displayed specialist domestic abuse support information for you to access, to make that call or access Bright Sky safely.

Safe Spaces are open and ready for you to use.
