Fife: Fife Council - This week is National Stalking Awareness Week

Stalking involves persistent, repeated and unwanted contact with someone which causes distress. This can be offline, online or a mixture of both.

Action Against Stalking report that:
• 11% of adults in Scotland have experienced stalking behaviours
• Women are more likely to be victims of stalking than men
• Those aged under 25 are most likely to experience stalking
• A quarter of stalking victims experience suicidal thoughts

Stalking can happen with or without a fear of violence. If you are receiving persistent unwanted contact that is distressing you, but the person has never threatened you, this is still stalking and is not acceptable. Remember, experiencing stalking is never your fault. It is a crime, and the blame lies solely on the perpetrator.

Hereford & Leominster: May Fairs taking place - 2nd May - 9th May 2024


Leominster and Hereford Fairs return to the County’s streets this spring

Heart-stopping rides, side-shows, food stalls and ancient ceremonies are all part of the street extravaganzas which comprise the Leominster and Hereford May Fairs. Showmen and women from around the country will make their way to Leominster and Hereford for the well visited and popular events.

Leominster May Fair will take place on Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 May (inclusive).

Hereford May Fair will take place on Tuesday 7 to Thursday 9 May (inclusive).

The organisers of the May Fairs have arranged to open the Waltzer, Dodgems and Sizzler fairground rides exclusively for disabled people and their helpers at the following times:

Leominster May Fair on Friday 3 May, 10.30am - 11.30am.

Hereford May Fair on Thursday 9 May, 10.30am - 11.30am.
