HR Manager for
 C3iA 

Overview

Professionally qualified HR professional with a diverse skill set and strong generalist experience. Prepared to deliver and take ownership of the full spectrum of HR support across the employee lifecycle, from the strategically led HR initiatives in support of the overall business strategy, to day to day HR administration. This is a new role and therefore the ability to drive new projects and initiatives is essential.

This role is reporting directly into the Board; working closely with the Resource Leads and Managers in the company; the role will have direct line management of the Personnel & Vetting Administrator.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

Legislation and good practice

· Review and update all employment documentation, processes, and policies in line with current legislation and best practice.

· Communicating across the business relevant changes in legislation, company policies, and procedures.

· Provide support and guidance for directors and managers on employment best practice in line with company policies and procedures.

Employee lifecycle

· Support our Resourcing Leads and Delivery Managers in the recruitment of new employees, covering all aspects of the recruitment, selection and onboarding process.

· Manage and continuously improve induction.

· Work closely with the Directors in determining compensation and benefits offered.

· Provide advice and support to managers and employees on company benefits and remuneration.

· Define and implement a training and development agenda in support of business growth.

· Provide guidance on development for managers and their teams, including working with external suppliers to deliver appropriate CPD.

· Facilitate talent planning, succession planning and strategic workforce planning.

· Provide the necessary and appropriate tools, coaching and support to managers.

· Provide accurate personnel and skills reporting for the Directors and managers.

· Management of our annual Perms Workshop.

· Manage and continuously improve off-boarding.

Tools and Systems

· Update and develop all HR records, files and systems on the personnel platform (Dynamics 365 HubDrive).

· Support the update and development of a record of all personnel skills across the business using the personnel platform.

· Develop the full capabilities of our personnel platform including timesheet and absence management.

Projects and continuous improvement

· Identify new HR initiatives and present recommendations to the Board for approval.

· Lead continuous improvement of the HR function, supporting other continuous improvement projects.

· Maintain ongoing personal CPD to keep up to date with forthcoming changes in employment related legislation and ensure the company compliance.

· Actively support and develop the ongoing CPD for the HR team alongside academic studies.

Working patterns/expectations:

Although based in head office in Poole, the working pattern is likely to be interchangeable to include regular visits to our satellite office in Chippenham, visiting teams working on client site, supporting managers where necessary. The working location will be dependent on the requirements at the time, therefore a flexible attitude and driving licence are essential to the role.

· Demonstrable experience of applying HR best practice, adapting to the unique circumstances of the business.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work with all levels of personalities and seniority within the business.

· Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a small team.

· Strong relationship building skills.

· Ability and experience to manage HR projects at the appropriate level.

· Competence and confidence to build and effectively manage professional relationships at all levels of the company.
