Constable Burton Hall is a beautiful, historic and privately-owned stately home in the heart of Wensleydale. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards across our facilities. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in the hotel or hospitality industry who take pride in their work, and are committed to providing a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. We also welcome applications from candidates who do not have direct experience, but have a positive outlook and are keen to learn.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitise surfaces according to established protocols.
- Change bed linens, replenish towels, and restock amenities as and when required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while using cleaning products and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.

Experience
- Previous experience in a cleaning role within the hotel or hospitality sector is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills with both guests and colleagues.

Pay rates are National Living Wage for staff aged 21 and over, and National Minimum Wage for staff from school leaving age up to 20 years. Working hours can be flexible throughout the week, from part-time to full-time hours.

We also offer the opportunity to take on additional front-of-house responsibilities such as breakfast and lunch services or event catering work for candidates who are interested in expanding their role.

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
