Place: Community Works, 14a Market Place, Thirsk YO7 1LB (please note that this is in the Market Place near to Harriet’s Clothes shop. It is situated up a small alleyway between Herriot hospice charity shop and what was a butchers – please don’t let SatNav take you to the wrong place!)
Parking: You can park at the Market Place, and it is free for an hour, or £1.20 for 2 hours.
Accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the door of the building. The room used is on the ground floor.
Our groups are run by our friendly team of volunteers who are parents or carers themselves of children with additional needs. Your child doesn’t need to have a diagnosis and we welcome anyone who is a parent or carer to a special child.
There will be light refreshments available, and a chance for you to chat with like-minded people, make new friends, and for us to support and advise each other through our collective experiences.
Please feel free to bring a friend or family member with you and contact us in advance if you are feeling anxious at the thought of coming to a new place and meeting new people, or if you have any special requirements yourself.
