Leuchars Station will be hosting aircraft from 28 (AC) Squadron between 3rd and 14 Feb, as part of a regular exercise series known as Kukri Dawn. These serials take place in the UK around 3 times per year and provide vital training for pilots and crews. In addition, crews will be training with the 51st Infantry Brigade, Cairngorms Mountain Rescue and Police Scotland during the exercise, maximising the opportunity to collaborate and refine techniques. During this time, flying activity will be increased.
Any local enquiries (within 5 mile radius of Leuchars) to Air Traffic Control on 01334 857282. Enquiries from areas outside the 5 mile radius should be directed to: SWK-lowflying@mod.gov.uk or by phone to 01780 417 558 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays).
