At our upcoming Coffee Morning and Housing Surgery, you’ll have the chance to connect directly with three key organisations offering dedicated support to the Armed Forces community. Here’s who you can meet:
🔵 North HIVE Hub – Lisa Whittles
Army HIVE provides free, confidential information support for the entire military community. Whether you need guidance on relocation, accommodation, health and wellbeing, childcare, education, employment, finance, deployment, resettlement, or local area services, the HIVE team is here to help.
They can research information on your behalf, offer confidential signposting, and support you wherever you are in the world through both local HIVE Centres and the international iHIVE network.
🔴 Forces Employment Charity – Tanja Allen
The Families Programme supports spouses and partners of serving personnel and veterans, including those who are divorced, separated, or bereaved.
They provide:
✅ One‑to‑one employability and careers guidance
✅ CV and application support
✅ Interview coaching
✅ Mentoring for young people aged 16–24
All advisors are military spouses themselves, offering understanding, practical support, and expert advice.
🟢 Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) – Lesley Trewhitt
Armed Forces Champions from DWP offer tailored support for veterans, service leavers, serving personnel, spouses, and families.
They can help with:
✅ Universal Credit and benefits enquiries
✅ Childcare advice
✅ Self‑employment guidance
✅ CV assistance
✅ Benefit calculations (many families don’t realise what they may be entitled to!)
They also work closely with partner organisations to connect you with the right support across the military community.
💬 Come along, meet the teams, ask questions, and discover the support available to you and your family.
Whether you're serving, a family member, a veteran, or a dependent — you are welcome.
