As part of #VolunteersWeek this will be a chance to get together to ‘do’ something (some volunteering) but also to have a bit of a ‘do’ (as in a celebration).
Lunch is provided and everyone will get the chance to do try something that helps others. Activities will start by 10.30am and lunch will be from 12.30pm.
There will be a chance to be outdoors or indoors, and activities already confirmed are:
Outdoors, helping in the community garden/ meadow area - including: weeding flower beds & vegetable beds, painting outdoor fence, mowing grass, watering & mulching trees, planting flowers & plants (please wear suitable clothing and shoes) - please note the garden area is not fully accessible if you have limited mobility.
Indoor options will include: write a letter to someone feeling lonely (Cwtch Post Box - Combating loneliness one letter at a time ), fill a 'jar of kindness', preparing exhibition boards for a local history exhibition in Little Haven called: 'Past and Present Community Groups in The Havens' using materials provided, contribute to a chain poem, plant a cup of kindness to take away, help set up for lunch, tidy up/ washing up...and much more.
