Blue Bus sessions take place on Thursdays downstairs at Welly Place Drop in centre and is open to all families on the patch.

North Wiltshire & Gloucestershire: AWS Summer residential for 8-11 year olds from Army families

Army Welfare Service Community Support Corsham Team are delighted to announce we have the opportunity to take 48 Children aged 8-11 years on this years YHA residential to YHA Okehampton Bracken Tor - Saxon Gate, Okehampton, Devon EX20 1QW.

Due to the nature of the funding this residential is 
free to attend, but requires a deposit of £10.

The following eligibility criteria apply;
  • Children must be from an Army Family (Veteran and Reservist eligibility is TBC)
  • Children must be 8-11 years at the time of the residential
  • Children must be from one of the following units - Colerne, Corsham, Services Cotswold Centre, South Cerney, Lyneham, Innsworth, Hullavington, Bovington, Blandford
  • Children must be able to swim confidently as some activities will involve water sports in open water

Join the RBL at the National Memorial Arboretum to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day - Thu 6 Jun

 

The Arboretum will be open to the public as normal on 6 June as RBL host WW2 veterans and their families, and commemorate the service and sacrifice of all those involved in the Normandy Campaign.

Members of the public can watch the D-Day 80 Service of R
emembrance in the grounds, with seating available on a first come, first served basis.

Entry to the Arboretum is free, but booking your visit in advance is recommended to guarantee entry, and save on parking (£4 in advance, £6 on the day)

Herefordshire Libraries in partnership with Ledbury Poetry & Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, have announced this years competition & the theme is rivers

Writers can visit any of our libraries or search our online catalogue for inspiration & access digital titles via BorrowBox.

The competition is open to anyone living in Herefordshire, Worcestershire & Gloucestershire, aged up to 18 years on the closing date. Submissions can be entered online at Ledbury Young Poets Competition - Ledbury Poetry from Thursday 14 March to Thursday 2 May.
