Poppy Scotland grant scheme

Financial difficulties can happen to anyone. When it happens to members of the Armed Forces community, our grants scheme delivers financial support tailored to their specific circumstances.

Our grants are wide-ranging and cover areas such as home repairs or adaptations, replacement household goods and clothing. We’ve kept our grant giving criteria deliberately broad so we can help as many people as possible. We carefully consider each individual's case, so do not hesitate to get in touch, we are here to help you through the grant application process.

Guide for Parents of LGBT+ Children

This guide has been created by MOD LGBT+ Allies to provide support and guidance to parents of LGBT+ children. We hope this guide will not only help those parents of LGBT+ Children and anyone going through a similar situation or interested in this area, but raise awareness to everyone who reads this guide. It is crucial to remember that coming out is never a one-time event and that our LGBT+ colleagues may have to face this often daunting experience many times in both their personal and work life

ManKind Initiative's confidential helpline is available for male victims of domestic abuse and domestic violence across the UK as well as their friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues and employers.

They provide an information, support and signposting service to men suffering from domestic abuse from their current or former wife, partner (including same-sex partner) or husband. This can range from physical violence or object throwing to abuse such as constant bullying or insults.
