Grantham: Gymnasium facilities for Grantham Station

Gymnasium opening times:

Monday to Thursday
0700-1730hrs
Friday 0700- 1300hrs

Outside these timings the gym still can be used but you will need to sign the key out from the guardroom and leave your ID with them.



To use the gym:

You will need a gym induction; this can be done by any PTI at the gym. Induction takes around 10 mins and the PTI will show you around the gym and make sure you are happy with the equipment etc, within the induction you will need to fill out a form - this form is a medical questionnaire and it is also confirmation you are happy with the induction.

You require:

x2 passport size photos
Proof of insurance - you are to hold a suitable level of personal accident insurance/ third party liability.

Edinburgh: Royal British Legion Lifeworks employment course for veterans families, Mon 24th to Thurs 27th March 2025

Lifeworks is a free employment support programme which equips veterans and family members of those currently serving with the tools needed to find meaningful employment outside the armed forces.

Initially, courses will be held at or near the PRCs and Garrisons.

Hereford: Green is the way to go for Herefordshire's latest recycling vehicles



As part of a drive to make recycling and waste collections across Herefordshire ever cleaner and greener, two brand new, state of the art eCollect all-electric Collection Vehicles (RCVs) will take to the roads this month.
The vehicles, which will be the first ever all-electric RCV’s to join the fleet in Herefordshire, adding to the ever-growing number of eCollects in service across the UK - currently in excess of 100.
Purchased as part of the new recycling and waste collection services contract between Herefordshire Council and its partner FCC Environment, the two new eCollect vehicles join the 26 new RCV’s which will serve residents and businesses alike across the County.
These range in size from 7.5-tonne to 26-tonne RCV’s; including 15 26-tonne vehicles, seven 18-tonne vehicles and four vehicles ranging in size from 7.5-tonnes to 12-tonnes. All of these vehicles have been chosen to deliver the best solution for the residents of Herefordshire over the next eight years of their service.

Along with our Cyberhood Watch partner, Avast, we are launching the latest Cybercrime Survey which will help us understand the impact of online crime and scams on our members. There's also the opportunity of winning some very useful M&S vouchers!

The findings of the survey will be used to inform the ongoing Cyberhood Watch awareness initiatives and help our Cyberhood Watch Ambassadors. It will also draw attention to important topics which will help everyone protect themselves - and their loved ones - from cyber criminals.
