Army HIVE Christmas and New Year Closures

The majority of Army HIVEs will be closed after duties on Fri 19 Dec 25 and will reopen on Mon 5 Jan 26. There may be localised variations to these dates for individual HIVEs.

Army HIVE HQ is also closed during the festive fortnight, so any enquiries submitted via the ‘If you need further information’ MS Forms function on our UK, Cyprus or Overseas blogs will be answered when we return in the New Year.

We will periodically cover private messages on our Army HIVE Facebook platform (and X/Instagram where possible) whilst we are closed. However, this will not be 24/7 and should not be relied upon for anything that requires an urgent response.

To support our customers with more immediate requirements however, the Army HIVE HQ email will provide a comprehensive out of office autoreply, detailing points of contact that are either 24/7, emergency providers, or open over the festive leave fortnight. To receive this autoreply, please email:

Individual HIVEs will also provide localised contact details for Christmas and New Year cover wherever possible in their automated replies. Therefore, if you email your closest HIVE, which you can find on HIVE’s page on the Army website, their autoreply may be of additional assistance.

Cheltenham: New centre for under-fives with special needs set to open in Cheltenham

 

Following the successful pilot of an Early Years Special Educational Needs centre in Coney Hill, Gloucester, the council has awarded Dingley’s Promise a three-year contract to provide support until 2028, which includes a new centre in Cheltenham.

Dingley's Promise is a national charity that provides nursery provision, holiday playschemes and family support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The children they work with have a wide range of additional needs including cognitive delay, autism, physical disabilities, genetic conditions, and life-limiting conditions.

Soldiers Arts Academy - free online workshops

 

The Soldiers' Arts Academy aims to provide a platform through which serving and veteran military personnel and their families can participate in the creative arts. Using their skills and experiences to create and engage audiences worldwide, the SAA strives to encourage excellence, engagement and inspiration in its members, as well as building a supportive and strong community.

North of England: Step Together project "Step to Get Her"



Step Together have launched a new project “Step To Get Her”, providing Peer Support to Females who are going through, or have previously been Medically Discharged from (tri) service. They are very pleased to introduce you to Adele Marshall who is the Lived Experience Facilitator covering the North UK project. Adele is also an Army Veteran and a local resident.

Adele is facilitating Peer Support covering the North of the UK, along with Dana (RAF Veteran) covering the South. Support will be both face to face and online covering all areas of the UK, the format will develop from the needs of the clients.
