Chepstow Town Council is excited to explore plans for a Welsh cultural festival in 2026, celebrating Welsh language, music, traditions, and community spirit. The event may also support fundraising for the Urdd Eisteddfod in 2027.

Monmouthshire & Chepstow: Day of Action across the Wye Valley & Herefordshire on Sat 06 Sept
Day of Action – Saturday 6th September
Join in a full day of events across the Wye Valley and Herefordshire, celebrating wildlife, exploring our rivers and landscapes, and raising awareness of climate change and sustainability.
Organised by community groups and coordinated by Wye Valley National Landscape and Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, the day is packed with hands-on activities and inspiring experiences, including:
- Riverfly surveying – discover how to monitor river health
- Guided tours at Dôl-Wen (off-grid smallholding) & Ballingham Court (nature-friendly farming)
- Family fun at Bartonsham Meadows – WildPlay, river surveys, coracle displays & a nature trail
- Talks on Environmental Careers in Herefordshire at Hereford Town Hall
- Travel free all day! Unlimited journeys on bus routes 65 & 69 between Chepstow and Monmouth through the Wye Valley.

Blandford: Garrison Thrift shop
The Thrift shop (by Rendezvous cafe) is a facility were you can purchase and sell on items at low cost.
Recent donations have included the Bonfire/Halloween event, the Garrison Youth Clubs, Mums & Tots, Downlands School and Blandford Food Bank. Thanks to the volunteers that make this possible.
Volunteers are always needed. Please call into the shop during opening times if you are interested in helping out.
