Wiltshire: Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service from Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership

IAPT stands for Improving Access to Psychological Therapies and aims to help people access support for a range of wellbeing problems.

Many people can struggle to manage their emotions or feelings and need support to find helpful ways to cope. AWP's IAPT services can help you manage a range of common problems.

The three main types of support on offer are:
  • Self-help resources, for example information leaflets, relaxing audio media, and access to the SilverCloud website to help with difficulties such as stress, low mood, anxiety and some long-term physical health conditions
  • Courses and workshops which you can attend in person or online
  • One-to-one appointments, assessments and therapy sessions

For details of the above, including how to self-refer, please click here

Please note that Wiltshire IAPT services are available to anyone from the age of 16 years with a registered GP in Wiltshire. If you are still Serving and would like to access support, please speak with your Unit Welfare team, Army Welfare Service or nearest HIVE.

Charlie Charlie One - for Service Personnel and Veterans battling Cancer

Cancer is indiscriminate and does not differentiate; age, gender, ethnicity, background, and status are irrelevant. But those seeking support, regardless of their rank, are united by military service, common values, and, of course, their cancer diagnosis. While established as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in August 2021, Charlie Charlie One seeks to support individuals throughout the United Kingdom.
