From the 31st of January 2022, everyone in Scotland aged 21 and under will qualify for free bus travel.

To receive free travel, you must have a Young Scot National Entitlement Card which will be scanned each time you board a bus.

🚌 PLEASE NOT THAT AN EXISTING YOUNG SCOT CARD WILL NOT WORK, SO YOU MUST APPLY FOR A NEW ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 🚌

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall becomes Patron of BFBS, the military charity and media organisation that entertains, informs, connects and champions the UK armed forces family.

The charity’s services are widely considered a “home-from-home” lifeline for members of the armed forces serving their country overseas.

Are you 16-19 and have parents/carers who are Serving in the Armed Forces? You could join a new safe and supportive online community.

DST: Families Update

 


The DST leaf trail on the training area is going to be open for the Families to visit over the festive period from 1000-1500 on 24/25/26 Dec 21 and 1 Jan 22.

 Why not take the opportunity to have a nice leisurely stroll or ride new bikes that Santa may have brought around the leaf trail  and use the picnic area.

  • Access/Exit through Gate 6 on a combination lock for the period of time stated on the dates requested as this is also near the leaf trail.
  • This gate can be covered by CCTV from the main guardroom (MGR).
  • All personnel going on the Training Area are to report to the Manager to book on & off the Training area but also to get the code.
  • All personnel entering/leaving the Training are to ensure the gate is locked after entering/exiting the area, once again this is covered by CCTV to monitor.
  • All personnel will be required to leave contact details when booking out in case of emergency.

You can work through a series of interactive guides which address your specific needs. The guides are designed to be completed in your own time and at your own pace. You can save your progress and revisit where you left off at any time.

There's also information about where and how you can access further support, and the opportunity to register with SilverCloud, an online therapy system.

My Support Space is also available for those supporting someone after they’ve experienced crime or trauma, for example friends, family members, colleagues or neighbours.

Building Resilience With Military Families - virtual programme from Bounce Forward

 

Building Resilience With Military Families has been designed to support armed forces families to develop the skills, knowledge and strategies drawn from the science of resilience. The programme of six 1-hour sessions is for parents to learn about the science behind emotional resilience.

The programme builds session on session to walk you through how to build you own resilience and help you raise resilient children. The programme is facilitated as a virtual on-line course and is fully funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust
