It's National Breastfeeding Week, and everyone has a part to play.

Over the next week we'll be sharing lots of tips and advice to help with your breastfeeding journey, such as the Breastfeeding Friend support tool for voice, available on Amazon Alexa.

This digital tool is new and approved and gives you a personal Feeding Guide plus NHS-approved advice 24/7 to help answer all your breastfeeding questions.

Going Forward into Employment (GFiE) - Latest Civil Service job vacancies for Service Leavers, Veterans and Spouses/Partners

 


Several new vacancies have been released for roles within the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the majority which are based in London, but with one also offering Milton Keynes and East Kilbride as a location as well. All of the FCDO vacancies have a closing date of the 13th October.

A further vacancy is also listed with HMRC at either the Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Portsmouth or Salford Offices, with a closing date of 16 Oct.

To be eligible for the GFiE scheme you must meet the following criteria:
  • Have served within the Armed Forces for at least 1 day.
  • Be within 5 years of leaving the Armed Forces.
  • Be within 10 years if you have been medically discharged.
  • Be in your resettlement period and due to leave the Armed Forces within the next 6 months
  • Military Spouse/Partner: Your current partner must still be serving OR fall within either of the above categories

West Midlands: Free Tickets for Serving military personnel to EFL League Matches Shrewsbury Town Football Club



Serving military personnel can be issued with a free ticket for EFL League matches.

Personnel will need a supporter number which can be gained here:-

When applying for the first ticket, Shrewsbury Town FC will need to see the Military ID so it can be added to your account.

It's one ticket per Military ID for each home fixture.

Shropshire: Military Hub at the Shrewsbury Town FC Foundation



The Shrewsbury Town Foundation are thrilled to be working with The Armed Forces covenant Fund Trust to provide a fantastic opportunity for military veterans in our community.

Combat Stress has opened a new hub at Birmingham Business Park. Set within 148 acres of mature parkland in West Midlands County, veterans will be able to access our individual, group treatment, support online and in-person.
