Stafford: Staffordshire smart alert - suspicious activity and distraction thefts at local cash machines.

Suspicious activity and distraction thefts at local cash machines.

Officers wish to remind the community, to be vigilant around cash machines.

There have been reports of bank cards being taken by offenders when victims are withdrawing cash from bank machines using distraction techniques.

If someone you don’t know begins talking to you at a cash machine and you believe this to be suspicious, make sure that you don’t engage with them, that you have all your belongings and obscure your PIN number from other peoples view.

Stafford: Staffordshire smart alert -Free knife crime awareness workshops for parents and carers

Free knife crime awareness workshops for parents and carers

Staffordshire Police is a partner of the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Violence Reduction Alliance (VRA), so I’m getting in touch to make you aware of a couple of workshops taking place in March that may be of interest.

The workshops have been designed to help parents and carers understand more about gangs, exploitation and knife crime.

Delivered as virtual (Zoom) sessions by the Ben Kinsella Trust, these workshops cover a range of topics such as the influence of social media, the signs and stages of exploitation, and how we can work together as parents, carers and the wider community to prevent young people being affected by knife crime.

You can book your space for a date to suit your diary using the links below:
