Message from Andrew Kirkham (Director)
Myself and my business partner Matthew have recently opened a local Garage which specialises in MOT, Diagnostics, Servicing and Repairs.
I come from a military background myself, so I understand the importance of ensuring that there are good reliable systems in place in times when dependants are deployed overseas or on exercise away from loved ones.
Vehicles are a critical part of all our lives and when they go wrong they can be a real hindrance.
We would like to support the Military community in a way which allows us to be a safe, reliable and effective service in those times of need, along with ensuring the long term safe maintenance of your vehicles.
We participate in the Defence Discount Service and Blue light service for 20% discount, with that, we will honour 20%, if your partner is within the MOD.
For further information about our company see links below:

NHS Scotland: How does your weekly drinking add up?

It's recommended that you don't drink more than 14 units of alcohol a week, spread out over at least 3 days, to keep the risks from alcohol low. This is the same for both men and women.

But what does that look like for you?

Sticking to a maximum of 14 units of alcohol per week can reduce the risk of health issues, such as breast, mouth and throat cancer.

Veterans - do you know about the Veteran Friendly GP Practice accreditation scheme?

There are 2.2 million Armed Forces veterans in England. We are proud to support the RCGP’s Veteran Friendly GP Practice accreditation scheme, enabling practices to deliver the best possible care and treatment to patients who have served in the Armed Forces. It’s part of the health commitments enshrined in the Armed Forces Covenant.

Veteran Friendly GP practices have a specially trained clinical lead for veterans’ health and support veteran patients to access dedicated health services. Nearly 1,100 practices are now Veteran Friendly accredited through the scheme run by the Royal College of General Practitioners in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement.

To find out more about the Veteran Friendly Practices accreditation scheme, visit www.rcgp.org.uk/veterans

Calling all UK GP practices: are you part of the Veteran Friendly GP Practice accreditation scheme?

There are 2.2 million Armed Forces veterans in England. Studies suggest veterans may be less likely to seek help if they feel their healthcare professional won’t understand their health needs.

The Veteran Friendly GP Practice accreditation scheme supports practices to deliver the best possible care and treatment for patients who have served in the Armed Forces. It also provides important reassurance to veterans that a practice understands their specific health needs and can support them.

Nearly 1,100 GP practices are now accredited through this scheme and the simple process starts with the completion of a short form.

The Veteran Friendly GP Practice accreditation scheme is run by the Royal College of General Practitioners in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement. Find out more at rcgp.org.uk/veterans

Whether you’re into craft beer, a fruity cider fan or prefer a lager, it’s important to know how those units can add up. Whatever your choice, drinking six pints equals the recommended weekly limit of 14 units.
