Scotland: Cats Protection Lifeline, a specialist fostering service for people experiencing domestic abuse now launched in Scotland

Many refuges – including Moray Women’s Aid – are unable to take-in pets belonging to women & children fleeing domestic abuse. In addition to heartbreak for all involved (two- and four-legged), this can actually prevent people leaving their abusers. Perpetrators of domestic abuse often threaten pets as a way to maintain control over their victims.

The Cats Protection are launching LIFELINE - their specialist fostering service for people experiencing domestic abuse – in Scotland for the first time.

Lifeline helps arrange a temporary, loving home for these superior creatures cats until their owners can be safely reunited again. All fostering expenses (including vet bills & food) are fully covered by Cats Protection.
