Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust - Reducing Veteran homelessness programme reopens for applications

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (the Trust) has announced a new round of funding under the Reducing Veteran Homelessness (RVH) Programme in a bid to deliver further sustainable, supported housing options for veterans in need.

The Trust is delivering this important programme on behalf of the Office of Veterans’ Affairs (OVA) in support of the government’s ambition to end veteran homelessness and ensure veterans have access to the support they need, including housing.

Service Police Confidential Crime Line, available 24/7 - You are not alone

Anyone (Service or Civil Servant) who has been the victim or witness of serious crime at any point of their Service in the MOD can call the Service Police Crime Bureau on 02392 285 170 or 02392 285 180, or the Service Police confidential crime line on 0800 085 0658, available 24/7. You will be listened to, there is support available for victims and all allegations are taken seriously.

Colerne: New park pass for 'We The Curious'

 

Colerne Station Welfare team have a new annual pass for We The Curious in Bristol. Discover more than 200 eye-opening things to do at Bristol's most surprising science experience. It's £15 for a family of 4 to use this pass, which is a big saving on day tickets.

As of April 2025, The Welfare team will no longer have a park pass for Noah's Ark Zoo Farm so if you would like a day out before then, please contact the team to book a date. The price for this pass is £25 for a family of 4.

Corsham: Primary School volunteers required for lunchtime activities and clubs

 
Corsham Primary School Broadwood are looking for volunteers to facilitate lunchtime activities and clubs. No specific skills are required and the activities could include arts, crafts, reading, chess etc; all equipment will be provided. Their lunchtime runs from 1215 – 1315hrs and they are looking for volunteers who could commit to 1hr, during that time, per week.

Induction training, to include safeguarding, will be provided. Character references and DBS checks will be required and will be actioned as part of the induction.
