Foodshare Pantry Llantwit Major:
We are looking for volunteers to help us collect surplus food from supermarkets across The Vale of Glamorgan and Bridgend. Our drivers are absolutely crucial in helping us to prevent food waste and support our local community by improving access to affordable, good food. Our St Athan and Llantwit pantries support between 70 and 100 households a week and have become a leading example of food pantries, not only in Wales but across the UK.
You will need to have your own car, own insurance and a full licence but we can reimburse fuel expenses. Our team of drivers collect from stores on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings on a shared rota so you don't need to commit to every week but we really need more people to help share the load!
