Hampshire County Council is proud to be part of Forces Connect South East
Forces Connect South East is a cross border partnership comprising Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex County Councils, Brighton and Hove, Medway Councils and Sussex NHS.
It is a two-year Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Covenant Funded Programme aimed at making it easier for servicemen and women and their families, as well as reservists and veterans, to access public sector services including healthcare, housing, schools, financial advice and support to find jobs.

Vale of Glamorgan: A soft plastics recycling trial is coming to the Vale of Glamorgan
A soft plastics recycling trial is coming to the Vale
If you live in Dinas Powys, Penarth, Llandough, Sully, or surrounding areas, you will be among the first in the UK to trial kerbside soft plastics recycling.
What you need to know:
- If you live in the trial area, we will deliver a roll of blue sacks and an information leaflet to your doorstep from Monday 07 April
- From Monday 21 April we will start collecting your soft plastics with the rest of your recycling
How it works:
- You will be able to recycle a range of soft plastics, including wrappings and bags – you can find a full breakdown of what can and cannot be recycled on the leaflet or on our website
- Your blue sack containing your soft plastics should be tied and placed inside your blue plastic & metals recycling bag for collection on your usual collection day
- Your soft plastics will be turned into new products like bags for life and bin bags at a UK facility
- This Welsh Government-funded trial will run for nine months – we’ll update you on what happens next before it concludes

Aurora New Dawn: Athena Domestic Abuse Awareness & Recovery Programme – 3 Jun to 22 Jul
Aurora New Dawn’s Athena Domestic Abuse Awareness/Recovery Group is military specific and all online via zoom. This programme is for 8 weeks taking place on Tuesday evenings 3 Jun to 22 Jul, and is open to serving personnel and families worldwide.

Leuchars: Cafe and Soft play in the Community Centre
Until a decision is made, the soft play and seating area will be open for use from Mon 10 Feb (Mon – Thurs) between the hours of 0900 – 1430 hrs and closed on Fridays.
However individuals using the area will do so at their risk and supervise their own children. A cleaning kit will be available in the area and we ask all users to clean and clear up after themselves to ensure the areas remains clean, hygienic and safe for other users.
If this does not happen, both areas will be closed.
