Hampshire: Forces Connect South East
Hampshire County Council is proud to be part of Forces Connect South East
Forces Connect South East is a cross border partnership comprising Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex County Councils, Brighton and Hove, Medway Councils and Sussex NHS.
It is a two-year Ministry of Defence Armed Forces Covenant Funded Programme aimed at making it easier for servicemen and women and their families, as well as reservists and veterans, to access public sector services including healthcare, housing, schools, financial advice and support to find jobs.

Annual subscriptions for the 2026/27 garden waste collection service are now open.
From 02 March, subscribers will have their garden waste collected every two weeks and will be able to book winter collections between December and February.
Residents who sign up before 01 April 2026 will be able to subscribe to our early bird offer from £41 per year, the same price as in 2025
The Council has reviewed its fees and charges for 2026/27 and prices for garden waste subscriptions will increase from 01 April 2026 to £45 for up to 8 bags and £65 for more than 8 bags.

Special Constables have the same power, uniform and responsibilities as regular (paid) police officers but volunteer on a part-time basis.
Specials – as they are known – come from all walks of life and backgrounds bring a diverse range of skills and experience to the role. They volunteer a minimum of sixteen hours per month to support local policing.
Being a Special Constable is not easy. You will be faced with challenging and confrontational situations that most people will never come across in their lifetime. But the rewards can vastly outweigh the challenges. You will gain confidence and new skills, work with a team of equally amazing people, and ultimately, you will have helped people in need or made their life better.
