Cowdenbeath: Armed Forces and Ex-Military Community Network 18th March

 


We’re proud to hold the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, recognising our commitment to supporting veterans, reservists, service families, and colleagues with military connections. 

To build on this, we’re launching a new Armed Forces and Ex-Military Community Network. 

This network will create a safe, welcoming space to connect, share lived experiences, and help shape how we support our Armed Forces community across Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.

First meeting: Wednesday 18th March
10:00am – 12:00pm
Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre
Free to attend – no need to book

If you have an ex-military background or service connection, or simply want to learn more, you’ll be very welcome. Tea and cakes included!

Dorset: Bovington/ Blandford Garrisons - youth activity trip Thurs 9th April


An activity day for young people registered with AWS CS Youth Clubs - For school years 7 and above. Book now to avoid disappointment. 

This event is a Youth Club trip for young people in school years 7 and above that are registered to our centre.

Young people will get the chance to engage in 3 activities that will stretch their skill set, test the limits and develop their team work and leadership skills at the amazing Calshot Activity Centre. With activities on offer including skiing, rock climbing, velodrome cycling, kayaking, snowboarding, and loads more, this promises to be a day to remember! Activities are weather dependant and not all activities are guaranteed to be delivered.

Blandford: Garrison housing drop in sessions - Wed 4th & 18th March


If you are experiencing any issues or have concerns with your service families accommodation and would like to speak to someone in person, you're welcome to drop in to the Pinnacle housing office on Mudros Road. (Blandford Camp), no appointment necessary.

Housing drop in is 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month. 0900 - 1200hrs.

Watch teams of 17 people per boat battle it out to be crowned the champions.

With lakeside stalls and food vendors, plus the cafĂ© at Fairhaven Lake, it’s a great day out! All raising money for Blue Skies – Blackpool NHS hospitals charity fund.

You can also register your team to take part! Feel the adrenaline surge as the drums beat in sync with your heartbeat, propelling your team across Fairhaven Lake. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, this is an unforgettable adventure for a fantastic cause.
