Home-Start trains and supports volunteers to work alongside parents in their own home giving compassionate and confidential support, tailored to each family. Home-Start London is a consortium of 12 local Home-Starts operating across 24 London boroughs.

Kent County Council: Support for new parents who want to quit smoking

York: Armed Forces day Football Festival 12th July



York Armed Forces day Football Festival returns this year on 12th July at the LNER Community Stadium. Turnstiles will open one hour before the first match, giving visitors plenty of time to arrive, explore and enjoy the activities on offer. 

The afternoon features two full 90 minute matches, bringing together serving personnel, veterans, families and the wider community for a brilliant day of sport, activities and celebration. The event is free for everyone to attend.

Match Schedule
Over 35s vs Veterans - A competitive and entertaining opener showcasing experience, teamwork and fantastic community spirit.

2 Signal Regiment vs 21 Multi Medical Role Regiment - A high energy match between two proud regiments, bringing inter unit rivalry and exceptional Armed Forces teamwork to the pitch.

Family Zone
Families can enjoy a range of free activities inside the stadium’s Fan Zone, including:
Face painting
Badge making
Friendship bracelet crafting
Stadium Entertainment

Entertainment will take place inside the stadium during half time and between the matches, including a performance from the Service Children’s Choir, offering something for all ages throughout the day
