Richmond: Walk, Talk and Cake 24th June

The Station

Duration: 2 hr

As the finale to our Carers Week celebrations in Richmond, we're hosting a pleasant walk and talk session. We'll set off from The Station, amble along the quaint disused railway line, heading towards the intriguing ruins of Easby Abbey. With luck, we'll make it this year! After our adventure, we'll return to The Station for well-earned refreshments and scrumptious cake. It's an ideal opportunity to connect with other carers and create new ties in a lovely environment. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a sunny day and leave those umbrellas behind!

Date: Monday 24 June 2024
Time: 10am-12pm
Place: The Station, Richmond DL10 4DL

Parking: There is plenty of parking available at the venue, and it is £1 for up to 2 hours, and £2.50 for up to 4 hours. Disabled parking is free.

Accessibility: The session will be in an upstairs room and will be sign posted. There is a lift available if needed. The room has access to its own toilets.

Our groups are run by our friendly team of volunteers who are parents or carers themselves of children with additional needs. Your child doesn’t need to have a diagnosis and we welcome anyone who is a parent or carer to a special child.

There will be light refreshments available, and a chance for you to chat with like-minded people, make new friends, and for us to support and advise each other through our collective experiences.
Please feel free to bring a friend or family member with you and contact us in advance if you are feeling anxious at the thought of coming to a new place and meeting new people, or if you have any special requirements yourself.

No need to book, just turn up! We look forward to seeing you!
