Thirsk: Anti Perfection Watercolour Workshop with Cat from Babibidu 14th June

Event by POSCH and Badibidu - Art by Cat Regi

Duration: 2 hr

Note: This session is either in person or virtual - read on for further details.

Hey there! We've got something exciting coming up in Thirsk this June as part of Carers Week celebrations! Cat from Babibidu, a brilliant watercolour artist, will be joining us online for a laid-back, fun-filled art session.

It's all about enjoying the process - we'll start with a big scribble, learn some cool watercolour techniques, and most importantly, have a blast with our paints! All creativity levels are welcome. We'd love to see you in person (there will be cake!), but if you can't make it, join us online and treat yourself to something sweet at home!

To join us via Zoom you will need:

Watercolour Paper
Water-based paint
Soft paint brushes
Big jar of water
Waterproof fineliner eg micron 4
A hot drink and a nice piece of Cake are essential!

Date: Friday 14 June 2024
Time: 10am-12pm

Place: Community Works, 14a Market Place, Thirsk YO7 1LB (please note that this is in the Market Place near to Harriet’s Clothes shop and what was Lee’s Pork Butchers. It is situated up a small alleyway next to the butcher’s – please don’t let SatNav take you to the wrong place!)

Parking: You can park at the Market Place, and it is free for an hour, or £1.20 for 2 hours.
Accessibility: There is a ramp leading to the door of the building. The room used is on the ground floor.
Our groups are run by our friendly team of volunteers who are parents or carers themselves of children with additional needs. Your child doesn’t need to have a diagnosis and we welcome anyone who is a parent or carer to a special child.

There will be light refreshments available, and a chance for you to chat with like-minded people, make new friends, and for us to support and advise each other through our collective experiences.
Please feel free to bring a friend or family member with you and contact us in advance if you are feeling anxious at the thought of coming to a new place and meeting new people, or if you have any special requirements yourself.
